Readers notice when they're thinking about something else.

Teaching Point:
Readers notice when they’re thinking about something else.

What Needs Work:
thinking work of reading, comprehension

Small Group Lesson:
·         Discuss how readers need to notice when their minds are on something other than their book.
·         What should you do when that happens?
·         Back up and reread.
·         Do a quick comprehension check.  “What have I been reading about?”
·         Have students practice with their own just-right books.
